Our story didn’t begin with a business plan; it began in the 14th century. Following the flight of birds across the Adriatic, our ancestors—fishermen from Santa Maria di Leuca—found their sanctuary on the island of Brač. For seven centuries, the Derado family has lived by the tides. We don’t just work on the sea; it’s in our DNA.

 

 

  Where Tradition Meets Mechanical Engineering

I believe that a boat should be as smart as it is beautiful. As a Mechanical Engineer, I took our family’s centuries-old maritime intuition and backed it up with science.

I didn't just buy a boat; I designed and built Pelegrin (34ft) with my own hands. Every weld and every curve of its aluminum hull was calculated to provide the most stable, safe, and dry ride in the Brač Channel—especially when the afternoon Mistral picks up. Currently, I am back in the workshop, hand-crafting our next masterpiece: the Derado 39, set to launch for the 2026/2027 season.
